Today we had a baby shower, or "sprinkle" as a second shower is often called, for baby Link. Robbie's mom organized it all and it was held at her house, and both of my moms helped to make food and stuff. There were cute little whale, turtle, and autumn decorations all over the four seasons room, and we enjoyed fruit salad, cheese, veggies and pumpkin rolls for a mid-morning snack. Robbie's mom made sweet party favors for everyone with some beauty products and snacks inside them.

Some wonderful family members came to our shower today, and it was so wonderful to be able to celebrate the coming birth of our second baby boy with them. I was just a little sad that none of my friends came, but I was so thankful to have the support of our wonderful family! Thank you all for coming; I know it's not traditional for second children to have showers, but it's still nice to celebrate their birth as they are just as important and special as the first child.

We started off by playing a couple of fun games. The first was a pregnancy related mad-libs game and the second was a baby version of BINGO.

Next we enjoyed some of the yummy food. Meo was a pest and kept eating all the blueberries off of my plate!
Finally, we opened up our presents. Fortunatley, since this is our second baby, we have a lot of the essential items we need. So while we made a registry in case people wanted to help out with a few things we still wanted (like bedding and decorations for Link's pond room), we weren't necessarily expecting gifts at this second shower. But everyone was so generous and gave us some wonderful presents. We even got some cards from family who weren't be able to make it today, and are so appreciative. Your generosity is very helpful to us during this tough financial time in our lives....thank you!

Cheyanne was so precious today; it was so great to be able to hold her and spend some time with her. Mattimeo was especially cute and affectionate with his baby cousin; we all think he is going to be a wonderful big brother!
