Meo's 7th Birthday

Meo is SEVEN! He's an imaginative boy with a big heart and a lot of passion. He loves to draw, to make and wear costumes, to play his violin, to play with friends (especially playing super heroes), he enjoys one-step in martial arts, is obsessed with LEGOS, and LOVES LOVES LOVES being read to. He is reading a little on his own now too. He has a flair for drama and storytelling, a love of nature, and an insatiable curiosity, and we are excited to see where this year leads him.

On his birthday, we surprised him with one of his favorite breakfasts, blueberry crepes. Then he got to opens his presents before we finished up packing for the rest of the day.

We took them to see Circus Smirkus for the first time. It's a circus that does not have/harm animals, and it's mostly all teenagers doing the acts. I was blown away by the amount of talent there. It was truly spectacular and fun! It almost made me want to join the circus!

After the circus we went camping for three days! We went to Wolfe's Neck farm, which I worked at but never camped at. Meo's very best friend and his family went with us, so for Meo it was a dream come true! He had so much fun! He spent most of his time biking.

Since the kids were biking so much, I got some time to lay in the hammock and read like half of my book! Hooray!

On the second day we went kayaking in the ocean. We saw a bunch of osprey, including a nest with young.

We also went on an awesome goat hike with 3 four month old goats. It was cuteness overload. I wish I could always walk with baby goats.

On the last day we packed up and took the kids out for crepes for breakfast. They were a little crazy. But the food was delicious and it was worth the adventure :).

This weekend, we celebrated Meo's birthday with friends and family by throwing him a Zelda themed party. There was lots of yummy snacks including chocolate rupees that I made, and lots of fun activities like a slack line, a bubble machine, archery (with Zelda enemies to shoot at), foam swords galore, and an obstacle course.

Isaac pushed chatty Link on the swing for over an hour! It was incredible! Link was SO happy.

We want to thank everyone who came to celebrate Meo; he had the best afternoon! He is very thankful for all his gifts, and he had so much fun with his friends and cousins. Thank you to Auntie Jess and Ryan for helping set things up and decorate too!
