Father's Day Hike 2016

Sunday with Father's Day and we celebrated in the morning by taking a hike up Bald Pate Mountain with Robbie and his dad. It was perfect hiking weather; warm and no pesky black flies.

The summit was covered in wild blueberries. I think we will have to come back in a couple weeks when they are ready to eat!

Grandpa always has chocolate chip cookies for the boys. They were excited to find this to be true even while hiking.

While it would have been nice to also go over and spend time with my Daddy, the day before had been very busy with running a 5K, Meo's first violin recital and ended with me covered in hives and sick with a migraine, we really needed a low key day. Taking a leisurely hike up a beautiful mountain was just right.

We ended the day by taking the boys and Pippin to our first drive-in movie of the season: Finding Dory. It was Pippin's first time going and he was super well behaved which we were happy about. I always love how excited the boys get to play with the other kids before the movie starts; right away Meo rain down to some boys playing frisbee and asked if he could play too. They met lots of other kids and had a great time. We all thought the movie was really good too!
