This year I challenged myself to take a photo a day for the entire year. Since I have started taking portraits of families, it was a great opportunity for me to practice and improve my photography skills. It helped me to grow more comfortable with my camera and to experiment with the various settings. It forced me to be creative and to be brave and try to get shots that I normally would struggle to get. Though it was sometimes difficult to find the time to sit down and go through photos, it was well worth the effort. Not only did I get lots of practice, now I have a beautiful collection of photos to print into a photobook so we can always look back on this year.
For most of these photos I used my Canon Rebel SL1 with either a Canon EF 85mm f/1.8, Canon EF 50 mm f/1.8, or Canon EF 75-300mm f/1.4-5.6 lenses. For a handful I used my Pixel phone. This year was full of nature, music, art, board-games, friends and family. I hope you enjoy looking through these as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Also, a special thank you to Robbie for helping me decide which picture to use every night. I am super indecisive and I would have been a lot more frustrated if I didn't have his help and support. Love you Robbie!
