Do to lots of sick babies, the Valentine's Day play date was postponed to last Thursday. Meo and I were very excited to hand out our Valentine's and to see our friends as it had been a while since we were all comfortable to play together for fear of more germs.

Sarah and Carter hosted the Valentine's Day play date, and as usual, Sarah was an exceptional hostess. She made the cutest little rose cupcakes, and set up a craft that I simply adored.

This month, Meo has really started to be a lot more outgoing. He is funny and happy and always on the move. During the play date, he had some fun playing with Carter's sesame street doll house, his train table, popcorn popper walking toy, and ramp for balls among other things.

At one point early on in the play date, when it was just Meo and Carter, Sarah and I all of a sudden grew very suspicious because it got really, really quite all of a sudden. Now, anyone who has ever had a toddler knows that quite is usually not a good thing. When it's really quiet in our house, it's usually because Meo has gotten into something or climbed onto something he knows he shouldn't have. So I went on a Carter and Meo hunt to see what they were up to. To my relief that were standing on a futon and kissing the ottoman and giggling. A very weird thing to be doing, but if that's the kind of trouble those two want to get into, I have no problem with that!

Other fun things the children did at the party included hanging out on Carters learning tower,

We had fun at the play date, and as usual, it is fun to see these little toddlers really becoming little people as they develop bigger and bigger personalities. Here are some more photos:

Tonight, Mattimeo and I had fun opening up his very special Valentine's cards. They were awfully cute!

Thank you to all our friends for taking the time to make us such sweet Valentine's Day cards. We are very appreciative!
Here is a sample of the cards that Meo made this year:
It was a very drawn out, but very special Valentine's Day this year and we wouldn't have had it any other way. Thank you to all the people who made it so special this year, despite sickness and blizzards. We love you!
