This pregnant mama is tired.
I repeat. This pregnant mama is tired. And hungry. Always. No matter if I sneak in a nap when Meo does, or we spend the day at home so I can feel more relaxed, I am always exhausted all day long. And even though no food ever sounds good to me, I am always starving, and have to eat so many snacks to get by and not feel sick. Fortunately Meo wants lots of snacks too, so he kind of reminds me that I should be eating rather than feeling miserably nauseous when he goes into the cupboard and brings me the box of raisins, granola bar, or crackers he would like to eat please and thank you. I guess one good thing about having nothing sound appetizing is that it's completely easy for me to only eat very healthy foods. The junk and sweets all look gross to me. A plate of grapes, cheese and crackers, or a couple slices of watermelon are the only things that occasionally sound yummy. So I have been eating frequently and healthily but can't seem to keep up sometimes. I think growing a baby AND nursing a toddler uses a lot of fuel and energy and that if I am going to make it through this pregnancy without weaning (which Meo is NOT ready to do), I am going to have to work very hard to find ways to take it easy and conserve energy while still getting enough exercise to feel healthy. It's tricky, but I'm doing my best. Every so often I get to go out for a run which is very satisfying, but mostly I enjoy taking long walk through the forest with my little adventurer. He gets so excited and curious about the world around him; his positive energy is contagious, and despite my fatigue I feel happy and peaceful. This pregnancy will be very different than the first one, but it will be just as wonderful.
