A peek into the life of 22 month Meo

Just a cute story about my little creature before I forget it:

Last night Robbie left after bath time to go to his Netrunner League down the street, leaving me in charge of getting Meo to sleep. He was not ready for bed however, and after several books, he got up and ran around and closed his door. He then tried to open it again, but could not, so came and pulled my shirt so I would follow him and open the door for him. He then ran into our room and found my big purple exercise ball in the closet. He loves this ball dearly, especially because sometimes I balance him on top of it so he can bounce like a mad man. He rolled the ball all the way into his room and proceeded to say "yeah, yeah, yeah!" (which is Meo's way of asking me to do something, in this case, put him on the ball). I told him not tonight, that it was time for bed and we weren't going to play ball right now. Instead of getting upset, he accepted this response and sang all on his own "Bye-bye ball, bye-bye ball, we'll see you again" as he rolled it back into the closet. This was not only adorable, but a very proud Mama moment. We often use that song to transition Meo away from an object he is occupied with when we need him to be doing something else. We think it's amazing how quickly he picked up on it and now sings it to say good-bye to not only his toys, but people and animal friends too. We love this boy!
