Link's first Thanksgiving

This year, as you can imagine, we wanted Thanksgiving to as simple as possible. This was Link's first holiday, and he was only a week old. Not only was I still recovering and getting tired very easily, but it was important for Link to have lots of bonding time with his mama to make sure he nursed lots and got enough rest. Fortunately, our families took care of most things for us. We went to Robbie's parents first to have a Thanksgiving brunch. His sister, Jess, was up from Boston for the holiday, and she prepared a vegetarian feast for the family. She made everything from scratch and it was delicious (see photos below).

Meo was a bugger and only ate butter off his bread and cranberry sauce.

After our meal, I tried to take a nap with Meo, but he just screamed at me. So I went downstairs and took a nap with Buddy instead.

After a wonderful morning/afternoon with the Robinson's we went to my Dad and Sue's to have dinner with my family. My brother, Meaghan, Bryce, Cheyanne, and my sister Sam were all there. We brought a tofurkey from Trader Joes as my family was having a turkey, and we enjoyed all the delicious sides Sue worked hard to prepare for us. Dinner with two toddlers and two babies is a lot more hectic, and in my opinion, a lot more fun. Gone are the days of quiet conversation; here are the days of goofy boys, nonsensical toddler chatter, babies nursing and sometimes fussing, and I think a good deal more laughter. For desert we had delicious pumpkin pie and pecan pie. Mattimeo was really into the pumpkin pie. It was fun to see the family, and watch the big brothers play together after dinner time.
