Link's 2 month check-up

Happy after his check-up

Link had his 2 month check-up and is wonderfully healthy. He is progressing developmentally superbly and growing like a champ. He very sweetly "cooed" and "gooed" at the doctor as she looked him over. Here are this months stats:

Weight: 12 pounds 12.5 ounces (67th percentile)
Height: 23 inches (55th percentile)
Head Circumference (75th percentile)

I was curious what his big brother, Meo's stats were like at this age, so I looked them up (blog post about Meo's 2 month check-up):

Weight: 13.6 pounds (90th percentile)
Height: 23.25 inches (75th percentile)

The interesting thing to me is that Link shot up from the 23rd percentile to the 55th percentile for height...quite a growth spurt! Seems like he is catching up to his brother even though Meo had two weeks longer in the womb. It will be interesting to see their similarities and differences as they grow.

Poor Link also had his first vaccinations, protecting him from no less than EIGHT diseases:

• dipthereia
• tetanus
• pertussis (whooping cough)
• Haemophilus influenzae tyep b
• hepattis B
• polio
• rotavirus
• pneumococcal disease

This came in the form of one oral vaccine and 3 shots. Link did not like any of them, but was immediately comforted by mama milk. He reacted very well to the vaccines and was only slightly fussy that evening (putting him in the ERGO baby carrier soothed him though) and had a slight fever that went away before bed.
