Fall Festival at Wolfe's Neck Farm

We have gotten in the habit of attending the fall and spring festivals at Wolfe's Neck farm with the boys each year. There are always lots of animals to visit, fun crafts to try, beautiful grounds to explore, live music, hay rides, and delicious food. Plus we are supporting a local community oriented organization by going.

Meo, of course, was thrilled to check out all the tractors.

The Fall festival was especially great this year because Meo was no longer afraid of being around the animals. In fact, he wanted to spend most of his time hanging out with the cows. The animal lover in me was jumping for joy! 

We enjoyed climbing up a mountain of hay, diving around and tossing up sawdust, and traversing our way through a straw maze.

Link patted his first cow and thought that was pretty awesome.

The goats were all very playful and we enjoyed watching them climb around and be goofy.

Mattimeo was not really into any of the arts and crafts stuff this time, despite there being numerous options (face painting, felting, apple cider making included). But Link and I participated by having a pumpkin painted on his little cheek. He was such a good boy and smiled and sat still through the whole process...I was kind of shocked.

We brought our own lunch to save a little money this time, but enjoyed some fresh pressed cider and couldn't resist buying some apple pie from a local vender.

We ended the day with a tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch. It was such a fun day for all of us.
