This winter started with a bang...a huge snowstorm right on Thanksgiving. But then the snow wimped out and we were having quite a dull, grey and cold winter throughout the month of December. We weren't able to use our snowshoes at all, so we got a pair of ice skates for Meo so we could at least find something wintery to do outside. Then January came along and so did the snow. In the last couple of weeks, we've been completely covered in a mountain of snow, and it's fantastic! The roads suck, and snowblowing is a pain, but boy oh boy is that snow lovely.

The poor birds were thankful for an easily accessible supply of food throughout the blizzard. It was life and death out there!
The boys stayed inside during the blizzard and we made snow ice cream, painted with snow, and had some snow sensory play on a blanket.
