Boston Children's Museum with Aunt Jess

This summer we were fortunate to be able to take a day trip to the Boston Children's Museum with Aunt Jess. We had been wanting to go for a year or two, mainly because they have a "Peep in the Big Wide World" exhibit we thought Meo would love because that was his favorite show for a long time.

It was worth the long drive, and we were even able to find free street parking (albeit a little ways off) since it was Sunday. There were three floors full of cool things for the boys to explore.

Their favorite room (by far) was the construction room. They just drove trucks around on ramps. They seriously did not want to leave this room. After we were in the room for about an hour, we were able to convince them to explore the rest of the museum, after all, we can just play trucks at home. We did end up back in the truck room after we checked out the other floors though. What can I say, they love play trucks.

The Peep and the Big Wide World exhibit was super cute. They enjoyed trying out some water activities and experimenting with light and shadows in the deep dark woods.

There was another exhibit where Meo got to simulate landing a plane which he loved of course.

Jess and I took Link to the toddler area so he could explore that for a while. He loved playing on their massive train table, and their was a pretend mountain for him to climb with rope bridges to cross and everything. It was pretty sweet.

The last room we checked out was the bubble room. We had a blast in there! There was all sorts of ways to make humongous bubbles. Not much is more satisfying than creating and popping huge ass bubbles. The boys couldn't stop giggling. It was awesome. And also we got pretty wet.

We are very glad that we were able to make a short visit to Boston and spend time with Jess. The boys love spending time with their Auntie and love walking around in the big city. The loved seeing the helicopters and ships, the tall buildings and the traffic whizzing by.
