Yesterday we went to check out Family Fun Day at LL Bean. It was a free event and it was pretty awesome. There was a man making HUGE bubbles for the kids to chase.
There was a bike course with ramps and hills for obstacles. I was kind of surprised that the boys wanted to go and try it for some reason. I guess I shouldn't have been They both did awesome. Link had help to go over the wave board the first time, but from then on he cruised all on his own with a balance bike. It was amazing and a little terrifying. Meo did awesome on a pedal bike. Poor guy fell off the edge once, but got back up and wanted to try again. They loved this part of the day...we ended up going back again later.
Pippin came with us, and he met lots of other friendly dogs.
There was a ninja warrior course set up. Even the little one was very challenging for the boys but they had fun trying.
And there was a zipline. Oh my goodness. They loved this. Little Link went on with the help of the man in charge, and had a blast. Then Meo went on by himself. He was pretty nervous when his turn came but he went on and did it and loved it. He wanted to go on right after. It's Meo's dream to connect a zipline from the top of our rock wall to our deck...maybe something like that might happen sometime hehe.
They tried out these boards to whack around a koosh ball. I hadn't seen a koosh ball since elementary school. Pippin and I had to keep our distance because Pippin snatched a few koosh balls that came our way.
Inside they had face painting. Meo wanted to be turned into a black monster (black and blue are his current favorite colors).
He was a little disappointed that the monster was a tiny one on his cheek.
Link doesn't sit still, so he just got a tattoo of a motorcycle on his wrist.
And just so you didn't think we have perfect angels who never fuss...here are a couple boys who did not want to stop biking and go home.
But we love them to bits still! Such a fun day, I'm glad we decided to go check it out.
