New Snowshoes

My parents got Robbie and I some awesome snowshoes for Christmas. I have been wanting some snowshoes for several years, so I was REALLY excited that they got them for us. The best part of having snowshoes this winter is that it is something we can easily do with Mattimeo. We took them out for the first time a couple weeks ago (I am soooo behind in blogging because little Meo has been keeping this Mommy busy!). We live near a lake, and Robbie and I decided to snowshoe across it. There is something so magical about standing in the middle of a lake and seeing everything from a new perspective. Plus, it is fun to be able to walk to all the little islands and explore! Little Meo seemed to enjoy snowshoeing well enough; he managed to fall asleep within five minutes of being out on the lake though.

P.S. Dad and Sue, the snowshoes work great! They are so light and comfortable, and the traction is great! We can't wait to try them hiking!
