Summary of 7 month old baby Link

Guess who is 8 months old? This guy! That means it's already time for a summary of Link's 7th month.

At seven months, a typical day at home begins with breakfast, then a diaper change, then plopped into the Ergo Baby carrier for a walk outside with Mama and Meo so that he can take a nap. I usually water the garden during this time and take Meo out in the wagon where we often stop to watch cars and trucks while Link sleeps.

When he wakes up, we have a snack and we play hard until lunch time. Sometimes this means playing outside (swinging, swimming, watertable), sometimes this means music time, reading, playing with blocks, pretend with farm animals, or art time. Link has a lot of fun doing whatever; he's a curious and fun little guy.

After lunch, we have nap time. This time, all three of us nap. Meo naps in his bed, and Link and I nap in my bed. I usually get up after a little bit of rest and work on some projects (crafts, reading, etc) while Link finishes his nap. Afternoon naps typically is 2-3 hours.

Then we play for a bit before Robbie comes home. We have dinner, then begin our long bed time routine of bath time (with Daddy), massage/yoga/play time, book reading, then sleeping.

Link has hit quite a few developmental milestones this month. The biggest ones are:

1. Link said his first words "Dada". He has also said "Mama" once, but "Dada" is usually the only word he says so far.

2. Link started crawling. He doesn't just crawl around the house quite yet; his preferred method is still rolling then fox crawling (swinging his arms out then scooting across the floor), but he has officially gotten on his hand and knees and crawled a couple steps on many occasions. He also likes to go up into down dog.

3. Link can pull himself to standing all on his own.

Link is still always full of smiles, has an infectious laugh, is full of energy, and loves to play. He especially loves to play and watch his big brother.

This month he had lots of fun going to the beach, playing with friends, camping, and he even went to his first rock concert to hear his Auntie Sam's band, Babe.

First rock concert

Easton, Link, and Colin at Kennebunk Pond

Slow down baby Link! I need to relish these baby days.
