Möbius Robinson, born July 25, 2014
Here is Meo meeting Möbius for the very first time at adoption day (held at PetLife). We instantly fell in love and Möbius gave me kisses on my nose.
His foster family requested that we take home a piece of his baby blanket with us. Moby (what we call Möbius for short) still loves to sleep on it in one of our cat trees.
When we took Möbius home, he spent the first couple hours running around frantically checking everything out. He was really nervous and didn't want to be patted or held. We just let him explore.
Theta was nervous at first and hid in the closet.
When Theta finally did venture out of the closet, he was not impressed. He sniffed Möbius, but mostly he hissed at him. I think he needed to establish some sort of dominance in their new relationship. He hissed whenever Möbius came near him for the first 24 hours or so.
Once Link and Meo went to sleep for a nap, Möbius decided to rest too. I sat next to him for a little bit while he bathed in the sun.
Once it seemed like he was relaxed, I decided to have a go at patting him. When he didn't run off, I picked him up and to my delight he began to purr! From then on we were bonded and he happily jumped up on my lap to snuggle all the time.
He even followed me when I went downstairs to sew Meo's Halloween costume. I was delighted!
And then when I went to take a nap, I woke up to found a little, adorable ball snuggled against my leg.
For the first month or so, Meo was really into holding Möbius. We taught him to use two hands and how to support his body weight so Moby was semi-comfortable. Möbius was really patient about letting Meo carry him around.
To our delight, Möbius quickly fell in love with the boys, and even spent the night snuggled next to Meo his first night home.
We have two huge cat trees, and Möbius makes great use of these regularly for both play and sleep.
To me, it is amazing how much Moby is a perfect fit for our family. Moby is super snuggly and will happily sit on Robbie and my lap in the evenings once the boys are asleep. Link has learned how to play with Moby and they will entertain each other by playing ball and string. It never ceases to amaze me how well these two play together; I wasn't expecting Link to figure out how to play toys with Moby and he does it expertly! And despite how rough Link is with Moby (he will sit on him and pinch his belly!), Möbius never uses his claws and never bites Link. Mattimeo adores Moby and gets hours and hours of exercise playing string with Moby. They will run around they house playing chase and til they both pass out in an exhausted heap.
But best of all is how much Theta and Möbius love each other. Pi and Theta were best buds and obviously loved each other, but the relationship that Möbius and Theta have is a whole new level of adorable. They play together, clean each other, wait impatiently for meals together, and are almost always snuggled up together when they sleep. I am constantly in disbelief about how ridiculously cute they are together. They are my orange boys.
He's even a sweetheart to our guests.
Here is some photos from Möbius's very first bath. I must say that I've bathed many kittens in my life, and Möbius was by far the worst. He bites SO HARD! Thank goodness he his great about getting his nails clipped so far.

He was super sweet post-bath though. My finger hurt for several days.
Robbie's parents did a most wonderful thing and adopted one of Möbius's littermates! Her name is Maggie and she lives happily with her new brother Buddy. The boys love going to Grandma and Grandpa's so they can visit Moby's sister. Here are some photos from the first time they met little Maggie.
One time, Grandma even brought Maggie to visit her brother. She was pretty stressed out sniffing everything while Möbius paitently watched hoping to play.
Surprisingly, Theta didn't his at Maggie once!

It is so cool to be able to see how similar and different these two are as they grow up and it will be fun to get them together again one day.
Moby loves snatching the boys' toys.
He is a snatcher of Totoro's and wool.
To end, I will continue to overwhelm you with adorable videos of Möbius and our little family. We love him and couldn't be happier with him in our lives.
We love you Möbius, welcome to the family!
