Halloween 2015

My Neighbor Totoro

For Halloween this year we all dressed up as characters from the Ghibli film "My Neighbor Totoro". Robbie was the big grey Totoro, Meo was the blue Totoro, Link was the white Totoro, and I was Mei...the little girl who first finds all the Totoros. Pumpkin Carving

As always, we made our traditional Cat-o-lantern. But this year we also decided to let the boys design their own pumpkins. Our neighbors grew a bunch of pumpkins and let the boys each pick one, then they drew on them and Robbie and I did our best to carve out their creations.

Halloween Party with Friends

Our friend Lindsay hosted a Halloween Party this year with all our grown-up friends. She invited the kids too, so we brought them. The boys thought it was great fun to be up past their bed time with all the grown-ups, and Robbie and I enjoyed visiting our friends though it was a bit hard to stay focused when two little Totoros were running rampage on a not-so-chidproof house! I'm glad we got to go though.

Halloween Play Date

Sharon was kind enough to throw a Halloween party for all our little guys. This is a tradition we look forward to every year!

Music Class

We always get to dress up for our music together class the week before Halloween; it's so cute!

Trick-or-Treating at Daddy's Work

Halloween Night

This year we started by going trick-or-treating with our good friends in a neighbourhood that was a maze of never ending houses. It was fantastic! I really enjoyed going with the Brown family and I hope we are able to make it a new tradition. After trick-o-treating with them, we stopped at a couple of our own neighbours before heading in for the night. We knew that the elderly ladies were excited to see the boys and they invited us inside to smother the boys with little kisses on the head, stuff their pumpkins full of treats, and let us snuggle their new 6 week old kitten. It was the perfect way to end Halloween knight.
