Bradbury Mountain Spring 2016

We took our new puppy Pippin on his very first hike up Bradbury Mountain today. This is the warmest spring weekend we have had yet and the end of Robbie's vacation and we have been itching to get out for a hike for a while. Bradbury is great because it's not very strenuous for a little 15 week old pup who isn't really ready for any serious climbing yet, but still an opportunity to get in some great exercise and see some beautiful views.

Meo's latest fashion accessory is wearing his helmet everywhere. He says that it makes him look cool like a superhero and makes him feel really strong. He enjoyed climbing rocks and jumping on them throughout the hike.

Pippin met lots and lots of friendly dogs and people. One of our favorite moments of the hike was when a woman almost fainted of bliss while patting Pippin. She was swooning over him and then he lay down to get a belly rub and she cooed "Oh my god! Oh yes I do LOVE YOU!"

Link had fallen asleep between taking Pippin to a puppy play group and the mountain so he began the hike waking up in his pouch on my back.

Once I set Link free, he joined his brother in his rock climbing adventures. Another favorite moment from the hike was when Link was struggling to get up a rock he saw Meo climb so Meo climbed down and helped Link get his leg up. He was so sweet and encouraging.

Link insisted on walking Pippin at one point, and since Meo was constantly lagging behind on his little mini explorations (Link is a fast hiker and Meo is a very distracted hiker), I decided to let him. They were both super cute. Pippin's already pretty awesome on his leash.

Here we are on the summit!

We had a lovely hike, and the boys had fun playing at the playground at the base of the mountain for a bit while Pippin had a drink and gnawed a stick with his every teething chompers. I think Pippin is really going to love going for hikes with us, he did awesome today. He was very pooped on the way home and snored soundly in my arms.
