Playing by the water:
Brian and Meagan were looking for crabs and Meagan showed them to the boys. Meo thought they were interesting, but Bryce did not care for them and we all had to keep him from trying to step on them! I think he thought it looked scary.
We went around and checked out all the Forts. It always brings back so many memories of when we were little and my mom used to take us to Fort Williams to run around and play pretend in the forts with our little dog Sandy while mom grilled food for us. Back then the forts were all open and you could explore every nook and cranny. Now, they are all fenced up so you can only peek into most of them. So while it is kind of sad that our children won't be able to share the same experiences, it was still nice to watch them explore and good to know that those forts will be preserved for future generations.

My mom and Meagen had fun exploring the dark tunnel in this fort. Bryce was so brave and kept running in with them! Meo prefered to stay outside and peek at them from the safety of sunlight next to uncle Brian.
We took the beautiful path along the coast that has recently been re-landscaped and headed over to the lighthouse.

Then we walked over to the last couple of forts before it was time for Brian, Meagan and Bryce to head home.

After Brian left, my mom hung out with us a while longer because I still had a couple hours to wait until I could pick Robbie out. We played on the beach a little more and Meo started trying to imitate seagulls.

And we played on the swing-set for a while.
Another great day outside with our family!
