Today was a very special day: my mother and father-in-law celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary! Congratulations to a couple of the most wonderful people I know! We love you and your happy relationship has been an inspiration.

This past weekend they hosted a little party to celebrate the upcoming event. There was a campfire, yummy food, and good company.

John had bought 20 lobsters (!), so Meo got to check out a lobster up close and personal for the first time.

John and Jeannine exchanged some very beautiful gifts. Jeannine received pearl (the traditional 30th anniversary gift material) earrings and a pearl necklace, both of which contained her birth stone.

John received some nice things for his drum, including a new case, a chest to sit on, an instructional video, and a sweet new shirt.

Robbie and I will be painting their bedroom for their anniversary gift, so we got them a bunch of paint swatches.
Today to celebrate their actual anniversary day we went out to eat all together. Since it was Taco Tuesday, we went to Casa Fiesta where we could order delicious tacos. Meo was a little overtired from our day out shopping with mommy and grandma, so he was a bit fussy throughout the meal and wouldn't eat very much. But we managed to have a nice evening none-the-less.

Oh and Meo's third tooth decided to pop out today! Perhaps that had something to do with his discomfort at dinner too.
