Halloween Play Date
Our friend Mara and her family hosted a Halloween play date at their apartment. She went all out with lots of decorations, yummy snacks and punch, and good cheer. It was great to see all the cute babies in costumes! Thanks so much Mara for having us over, we had a wonderful time!

Trick-or-Treating at IDEXX
Meo and I went to Robbie and our friend Lindsay's work to go trick-or-treating. It was really cool because they had all kinds of stations set up with candy and fun. It was nice getting to see our friend Lindsay, especially since Halloween is her favorite holiday and her excitement about it is contagious. It was also fun to see Robbie's coworkers; they all thought Meo was really cute.

Halloween Day
During the day Meo and I stayed home with Grandma. We read Halloween books, listened to Halloween music and did an art project.

When Robbie got home (he came home early, yay!), he read It's a Pumpkin Day Mouse to Meo and then we went to Vandy's to get some greasy, unhealthy food for dinner (mac and cheese bites and cheese fries) then go to Memere's to pass out candy with her and Aunt Sam. Memere was dressed up as a cute black cat! Meo kept busy moving Pepere's video games to and fro across the room.

Then we went trick-or-treating for Meo's very first time around my parents neighborhood. We only went to like eight houses, but Meo (and Robbie) loved it. Meo was giggling in-between houses and Robbie was excitedly recounting trick-or-treating with his sister when he was younger and how they would run from house to house and count their pillowcases full of candy when they got back home to see who "won". The houses we visited thought Meo was so cute, they encouraged us to take extra candy (even though Meo isn't the one who eats candy). At one house, a woman dressed all in black (even her face was covered), snuck out of the bushes to give us candy. She scared the crap out of me, but Meo and Robbie were unphased. Robbie teased me after was because my reaction was to say, "Whoa! Scary Meo!" in a sad attempt to act like I was comforting Meo.

Back home, Meo had fun with his Grandparents taking out all the candy they had left in their giant bowl and tossing them on the floor while Grandma and Grandpa put the candy back in. Meo thought it was so funny!
